Having served as Head of Design for a Bespoke Residential  Developer, overseeing 40+ residential schemes along the way, I bring over a decade of first hand client experience to any new project.

My unique background bridges the gap between premium design and commercial awareness which can often be lacking from designers.

My approach is simple, right product for the right market, not 'over designing', and understanding how to make the project stack.

 

I focus on the right housing mix, maximising GDV, and identifying buildability risks long before they get baked into a planning consent.

I have a proven track record of navigating highly constrained, high-profile, and complex applications to secure permissions. My expertise covers existing buildings, new build, listed buildings, conservation areas, changes of use, prior approvals, pre apps, PPA's with projects from £2M to £200M GDV, including:

• Strategic Regeneration & Brownfield Sites

• Sensitive Greenfield & Infill Sites

• Complex Application Types: Extensive hands-on experience managing and securing Full Planning Consents, Reserved Matters, Section 73 applications, and Permitted Development with Prior Approval, Class MA, Class Q

• Consent Optimisation: Reviewing and reworking existing planning approvals to strip out costly inefficiencies, making units more efficient, improving net-to-gross ratios, and significantly enhancing overall GDV.

 

In 2025 when I was appointed as one of four Design Judges for the Bristol Civic Society's Design Awards which was a rewarding recognition for my contribution to the industry.

 

In addition, I dedicate pro-bono time to assist charities such as Paul's Place and The Mazi Project, along with the Quartet Community Foundation.
